LIFE IN OUR SCHOOLS: COLEGIO NUESTRA DE SEŇORA MONTE GRANDE (ARGENTINA)

Another education is possible... 

We share with you some pictures of different meetings of children and young people from the collegio Nuestra Señora de Monte Grande, in Argentina.


  • An initiative: "Doing physical education with parents", for families to share their activities with their children.
  • An art project: "The Musical" (3rd year secondary). Throughout the year, they work with their teacher on the selection and adaptation of a musical according to the possibilities and interests of the students. They apply for the different roles: actor, dancer, singer, set, props, sound and light, stage assistants and assistant directors. The General Management is in charge of the teacher who analyses the applications and assigns the roles according to the applications and the requirements of the play in question.  Throughout the year, they work in groups on the different tasks and at the beginning of November the big presentation takes place, which is open to the educational community.
  • The "Tradition Day": celebration is an activity carried out by the initial level.


Educational area in our schools 

The Director of the Secondary School: Miguel Dellavilla de "La Milagrosa" and Guillermo Somaschini (Legal Representative), Marialina Ezcurra (Director of the Primary Level) and Florencia Ceruso (Vice-Director of the Primary Level) of Nuestra Señora de Monte Grande took part in a meeting of CONFAR (Argentinean National Conference of Religious) in their educational space with the theme of Synodality as the axis.

They worked and reflected on the theme "Synodalising the school: an open, polyhedral and inverted pyramid educational space. Problems, challenges and issues".


Some central elements of the shared reflection were:

  • Networking as the axis of all educational work, which challenges a new paradigm, in a synodal key. To recover and recreate the shared mission with all those who are part of the community. In order to have a multi-faceted vision, the proposal that allows us to incorporate everyone... each person in the community from their particular contribution.
  • Pope Francis' call for a global pact for education, which goes in the direction of solidarity, humanism and the search for the common good. 

In the coming year, they will continue to think, dream and build "another possible education"...
