HOLY WEEK

30/03/2021 | Agenda

Holy Week is the very heart of the liturgical year.

From Palm Sunday to Easter, it is the most important week of the Catholic Church. During the Easter Triduum, from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, the Church remembers the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus. It is a time for all Christians to remember Jesus' death on the cross, the gift of his life, the empty tomb and his resurrection on Easter Sunday, all of this to save us from sin and death. The Church's rituals throughout this week recall and present Jesus' passage from death to new life. Strong signs and symbols are present during this week, bearing a powerful story of faith.
