At the EHPAD Mariama, the animation service sets out to offer a range of activities corresponding to the different needs and expectations, according to the cognitive or physical capacities and the interest of the residents.
Thus, an animal mediation workshop has been set up and dogs, guinea pigs and rabbits have been introduced.
All this little world sets up on the table in the living room, where residents in wheelchairs are already seated; and, in the company of the facilitator, moments of great happiness, gentleness, relaxation and joy are experienced! The smiles, the petting, the looks say a lot about the expression of positive emotions that are expressed!
Other residents are around the Bike-Med and, in turn, take a "bike tour" in front of the TV screen; thus they visit many landscapes or cities around the world while pedaling at their own rhythm!
Handicraft workshops are also offered and many residents are happy to participate.
Thank you to the staff of the EHPAD for their openness to modern techniques for the stimulation and well-being of all residents.
