LAUDATO SI'

5th anniversary of Encyclical LAUDATO SI'

"Let us contemplate together our mother the Earth, our common home."

Laudato Si' (Praise be to you, my Lord) is the second encyclical of Pope Francis.

Subtitled is "the safeguarding of the common house", it is dedicated to environmental and social issues, to integral ecology and, in a general way, to the safeguard of Creation.

Laudato Si', the second encyclical of Pope Francis, dedicated to "the safeguarding of the common house", has had a very broad echo in the five years that separate us from its publication on May 24, 2015. The call of Pope Francis to build a new world, respectful of creation, has led to many initiatives within the Church, beginning in parishes, but has also aroused interest far beyond, in the scientific and academic spheres, in non-believing circles and in other religions.

A time of jubilee at a turning point for humanity

From the Vatican, the Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development has decided to highlight the Holy Father's text for an entire year, from May 24, 2020 to May 24, 2021.

"We hope that this year and the coming decade can truly be a time of grace, and (Kairos) favourable time and a time of "Jubilee" for the Earth, for humanity and for all of God's creatures."
