CHRISTMAS IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC

With the powerful force of hope, Christmas in times of pandemic. 

The feast of Christmas returns full of light and hope.

Even in this year, the most unfavorable one for gatherings for the celebrations, thanks to this COVID-19 which does not seem to want to leave us, the manger of Bethlehem appears before our eyes and our memory with all the essence of our humanity. Mary and Joseph find a little cave that served as a stable where they could spend their last night of vigil, waiting for his birth. It was there that Jesus was born in extreme poverty.

COVID has obliged us to slow down the progress of our relationships, to shut ourselves away, while the Child Jesus invites us to open ourselves up, to give our life, or part of our life, to others. He is a Light that combines with Love. For this reason, the feast of Christmas also helps us to live in the midst of insecurity, limitations and illness, and helps us to begin again each morning with faith and hope.
